A Rare First Edition Japanese Woodblock Print "Inubozaki Point" by Shiro Kasamatsu, dated and actual period 1956 (Showa 31). The print was published by Unisodo with margin dating Showa 31. Note that the "koma": publisher/printer-carver seals have NOT been repositioned. This indicates an early or first edition printing run. Later edition prints from this Unisodo have koma seals that were repositioned to be evenly spaced and closer together. Furthermore, this print was acquired from the Unisodo publisher and guaranteed to be a TRUE FIRST EDITION print. Be careful of the unscrupulous dealer passing later edition prints as early edition prints. This first edition print depicts a rainy scene of fisherman fishing off of Inubozaki Point. A rare and beautiful depiction in excellent condition with excellent registration, strong color and bleed-through, a truly rare print and a must for the connoisseur collector.
