Description: 
Qing dynasty, Kangxi period blue and white brush pot, ca.1662-1722. Dimensions: 14.5cm tall and 11.5cm diameter. This beautiful brush pot has a drawn waist like a section of bamboo. It is decorated with a spirited 'man in nature' underglaze cobalt-blue design. The base is recessed and unglazed. There is a wax seal from the China Customs Antiquities Authority authenticating this piece as of the period and approving exportation.

note: some of the photos are somewhat not as sharp as my images normally are. With exception of the closeup detail, (which is accurate), the other images do not adequately show the richness of the blue shades and details of the painting well .
