Description: Rare and finely carved Song Dynasty YaoZhouYao bowl, ca.AD12th/13th c.

Dimensions: 18.5cm (7.3") diameter, 5.7cm (2.25") tall. A beautiful deep bowl with rich olive green glaze. The bowl is finely decorated with a finely relief carving/impressions of peonies and vines. The bowl is entirely glazed with exception to the bottom of the foot, revealing a brownish-black clay that is practically black. Condition consensus is Very Fine condition.
