Description: A fine large Chinese Qing dynasty qinghua (blue/white) porcelain vase, Qianlong signature and period, ca.1736-95.

Age: ca.18th c. (1736-95). Dimensions: 16.5" tall, 12" diameter. Weight: 10 lbs.

A massive 18th century vase, finely formed with strong masculine lines. It has a wide flared mouth-rim, slightly narrowed neck, broad shoulders that taper to a wide foot with a deep recessed foot rim. The vase is decorated in a deep underglaze cobalt-blue with a continuous design of scrolling peonies. The vase is signed within the deeply recessed foot-rim with an underglaze cobalt-blue Qianlong signature written in ancient Chinese block-form characters.
